Mercy Eke was born on September 29, 1993, in Owerri, Imo State, in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. Mercy grew up in Owerri, where she had her primary school education and acquired the First School Leaving Certificate.
Her secondary school education was at Egbu Girls Secondary School in Owerri, where she completed her program and obtained the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE). On completing her secondary school education, she gained admission to study Business Administration at Imo State University (IMSU), also in Owerri. After spending about 4 years in the school, in 2014, she was awarded a B.Sc. in Business Administration. She then observed the one-year mandatory youth service.
