Early Life and Education
Mr. Macaroni’s real name is Adebowale Adedayo. He is a native of Ikija, Ogun State who was born in Ogudu, Lagos State, into an upper-middle-class family on May 3, 1993. The family he was born into practiced both Christianity and Islam – his father Mr. Musa Alao Adedayo is a Muslim while his mother, Mrs. Dorcas Adedayo is a Christian.
Mr. Macaroni had his elementary education at Tendercare International Nursery and Primary School in Ojota, Ogudu, Lagos State. After obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate upon completion of his primary school education, he proceeded to Babcock University High School where he sat for and obtained his Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). After his secondary school education, in 2009, he applied to study Law at Lead University but in his second year there, accreditation issues led him to leave the school.
In a bid to get a degree, in 2011, Mr. Macaroni sought admission to study Law at Houdegbe North American University, Cotonou in the Republic of Benin. But just as his first attempt at getting a degree at Lead University, Mr. Macaroni had to drop out from Houdegbe North American University.
After his failed attempts of getting a degree from Lead University and Houdegbe North American University, Mr. Macaroni tried again, this time, he applied to study Theatre Arts at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. He gained admission to study in the said tertiary institution, however, just as in his two previous attempts, he did not complete his education due to several factors.
In 2013, he gained admission to study Theatre Arts and Film Studies at the Redeemers University in Osun State. This time, Mr. Macaroni was able to complete his undergraduate programme, obtaining a degree in Theatre Arts and Film Studies in 2018. As a student at Redeemer’s University, in 2014, took a short acting course at PEFTI Film Institute.

After graduating from PETFI, Mr. Macaroni started auditioning for movie roles. Soon he began getting movie roles in soap operas and sitcoms. It was in one of the earliest movies he was featured in that he got the name Mr. Macaroni after the director gave him the liberty to choose a name for the character he played. Some of the earliest TV series and movies he acted in include Okirika, Ile Akyo, Face2Face, and House 31.
After movie roles were no longer coming, Mr. Macaroni decided to start online comedy. On Instagram and YouTube, Mr. Macaroni began posting comedy clips where he plays the role of a sugar daddy who’s fondly referred to as “Daddy Wa”, or a sadistic lecturer called” Professor “Professor Hard Life”. His comedy clips have continued to go viral across Nigerian cyberspace. The catchphrases that have been popularized by Mr. Macaroni’s comedy skits include ” Ooin”, “Freaky freaky”, and ” You are doing well”.
The themes of his comedy skits are centered on events and real issues in Nigeria and Africa such as bad governance, civic responsibility, and human rights. He features veterans of Nollywood in his skits such as Jim Iyke, Bimbo Ademoye, Lateef Adedimeji, and Sola Sobowale, and musicians such as Falz the Badh Guy and Mr. P. Other skit makers such as Remote, Oga Sabinus (Mr. Funny), Remote, and Broda Shaggi have also been featured in several Mr. Macaroni comedy skits.
