Yomi Casual was born Olorunyomi Omoniyi Makun. He was born January 25, 1985 in the city of Lagos, Nigeria.
He is the last of seven children of the Makun family. He hails from Ifon in Ondo State, Nigeria
He holds a degree in Fashion Design & Clothing Technology from Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State Nigeria.
He is the founder and CEO of Yomi Casual. The fashion outfit was launched in 2007 and shortly after he was able to break into the list of top fashion designers with his bold and contemporary designs became the favourite of Celebrities in Nigeria and Africa.

Yomi Makun is married to Grace Makun nee Onuoha. She is the CEO of Fab Jewels. It would be recalled that Yomi got engaged to Grace on the 9th of July, 2017 at the Funnybone Untamed II comedy display in Eko Hotel & Suites. The designer got her a stunning ring with her name already engraved on it – Mrs Makun. The proposal began when the DJ began playing the Styl Plus hit track “Olufunmi” then Yomi’s friend, Gbenro Ajibade handed him the ring as he got on one knee with the rest of the evening being history.
The couple got married in October of the same year and they currently have a child together. Her name is Kahley Makun and she was born in January 2018 in Atlanta, U.S.A. Yomi revealed in an interview that he met his wife at a friend’s party. The designer revealed that she was the only reserved girl at the party and that attribute endeared her to him. Yomi also revealed that fatherhood has taken away his bad temper as he is now a calm person.
Apart from being siblings, Yomi Casual is the certified clothier for his brother, AY Makun. He is also the approved Outfit Partner of AY Live Comedy & Music Shows.
Just in case you’re wondering who AY is. His full names are Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known as A.Y. He is a Nigerian actor, comedian, radio and TV presenter.
The comedian was born on August 19 and he hails from Ifon, Ose local government in Ondo State. He is the host of the A.Y live shows and A.Y comedy skits. He produced his first movie, 30 Days in Atlanta which was directed by Robert O. Peters. Also, he is the CEO of Corporate World Entertainment Nigeria.
A.Y attended Delta State University, Abraka where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts after spending nine years. While at DELSU, A.Y also won other awards such as the most fashionable student on campus (1999 and 2000); best show-biz promoter (2001); the most celebrated student on campus (2001) and the Jaycee Club socio-personality award (2003).
The comedian shot into the limelight after working as Alibaba Akporobome’s personal assistant and event manager.
He is the oldest male child from a family of seven. He is married to Mabel and they have one daughter, Michelle.
A.Y is also the brain behind the popular sitcom, AY’s crib with Alex Ekubo, Venita Akpofure, Buchi Franklin and Justice Nuagbe and he also hosts one of Africa’s largest comedy shows, AY Live featuring comedians like Bovi, Helen Paul and many other comedians.
A few years ago, Yomi was embroiled in a baby mama drama. It was said that Yomi abandoned his ex-girlfriend when he became popular despite the fact that she was the one that stood by him during his early days as a designer.
It was also revealed that Yomi got her pregnant twice. She lost her first pregnancy and when she became pregnant again, he deceived her by buying her a car and promising her marriage when the child is born which he never did.
