Adekola is also reputed to be the richest Nollywood Yoruba actor due to the frequency with which he features in movies.

The actor began acting in the church where he used to play the role of jester alongside his childhood friend, Tunde. At that time, he was a member of the Christ Apostolic Church, Lafenwa.
Eventually, Adekola made his debut in the film industry in 1996. A couple of his earliest movies include Faworaja and Asiri Gomina. Asiri Gomina was produced by Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin). Adekola claimed that this movie was his most challenging movie till date and this was the movie that shot him into limelight.
Adekola’s popularity has made him a ubiquitous character on internet memes. Prior to his debut, Adekola was mentored by the late Isola Durojaiye also known as Alasari. He joined the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioner in 1996, the same year he made his debut to the movie scene.
The celebrity actor is a graduate of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) and the University of Lagos (UNILAG). He studied Business Administration at UNILAG
He has featured in over 100 movies since his debut in 1996. Also, Adekola has been able to successfully crossover to the Nollywood English movies unlike many of his colleagues. He has featured in movies like Taxi Driver and Wives on Strike.
Adekola has been able to amass a tidy fortune for himself as a result of his earnings from acting and endorsement deals.
And the actor has been able to diversify his earnings into real estate particularly in Abeokuta. Adekola’s assets and activities in Abeokuta probably explain why he hasn’t left Abeokuta for Lagos like many of his colleagues.
A few years ago, Adekola used his earning into building a multimillion naira hotel in Abeokuta. It is estimated that the hotel cost the actor over N50 million. The exquisite edifice is said to be located around the Adigbe axis of Abeokuta.
With this asset, it seems Adekola is beginning to view life outside of acting and this explains this investment in the hospitality business.
