Early Years
He was born Oyekunle Oluwaremi Opeyemi in Benue state on the 18th of October 1988. The actor hails from Ekiti State.
His father is Engineer Joseph Ibukun Oluwaremi and his mother is a school owner, Mrs S.O Oluwaremi. The family of six children moved to Ibadan where Kunle grew up and had most of his pre-tertiary education.
Education
Kunle Remi enrolled at the University of Ibadan after his secondary school education where he was studying Fishery and Wildlife Management at the University of Ibadan. While at U.I, he gained admission to study Tourism and Hospitality Management at Sheffield University in the United Kingdom subsequently, he left Nigeria to the United Kingdom
The actor also has a degree from the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles.
Acting
Kunle was a youth drama leader in his Ibadan church and it was his exposure in acting that influenced his decision to become an actor. He was also involved in acting while in the University. By 2009, he had taken part in several soap operas and television shows across the country.
Modelling
Kunle also works as a model as he is a part of the ISIS models, the biggest and largest international modelling agency in Nigeria.
TV host
Kunle was also a television host for “For the 18+ show”.
Attack
In 2016, Kunle was stabbed by a fan. The incidence took place while the actor was on his way to a birthday event. He met an excited fan on his way and the fan had mistakenly stabbed him. However, the actor revealed his doubts on Instagram as to whether it was it really an accident because he had bled so much that he passed out on his way to the hospital.

Rumours
It was reported that when Banky W slid into Adesua’s DM while she was dating Kunle Remi and the musician had successfully stolen the actress from him.
Just in case you don’t know who Banky W is. He is a popular Nigerian musician. He shot into limelight when he moved back to Nigeria and release the album, the W Experience. The musician also made his movie debut when he featured in the movie, ‘The Wedding Party,’ alongside Adesua.
The rumours of Kunle Remi dating Adesua seem to have emanated from a picture where the duo was seen kissing. Apparently, this was a picture from a movie that featured Adesua and Kunle.
Consequently, Kunle Remi was rechristened Adesua’s ex by the media. In fact, every post he shared on his social media seemed to link him in one way or the other to her. For instance, the day after Adesua’s lavish wedding in Capetown, the actor posted a photo of a newborn baby on his Instagram page with the simple caption, ‘God’s blessings’. The response to this post were comments that Adesua’s ex had just become a father. Even his comment on the post didn’t seem to deter these speculators as many concluded that this was Kunle’s final love farewell message to Adesua.
There were also comments on why the actor had refused to send any congratulatory message to Adesua from the time when her proposal was announced to when all the wedding ceremonies were concluded.
Eventually, Kunle responded to all of these speculations by revealing that he had congratulated Adesua privately and he didn’t have to repeat the same on social media.
The actor also used his Instagram page to make the statement with the caption, “My name is Kunle Remi and not Adesua’s ex.” Kunle further revealed that the only relationship they had was featuring in the same movies.

Adesua Etomi is a notable Nollywood actress. She starred in her first feature film Knocking On Heaven’s Door in 2014 and she was the recipient of the award, ‘Best Actress in A Drama award’ at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for her role in the 2015 romantic drama film Falling. She starred alongside Kunle Remi
Adesua had her primary school at Corona School in Victoria Island, Lagos and it was while she was at Corona she began honing her acting skills when she joined the drama club at the age of seven. After her primary school, she proceeded to Queen’s College, Lagos before moving to the United Kingdom at the age of 13 years old.
The actress received a diploma in “physical theatre, musical theatre and performing arts” from City College Coventry in 2004.
After completing these courses in 2006 with triple distinctions, she studied drama and performance at the University of Wolverhampton, graduating with first-class honours.
Some of the movies she has featured in since she moved back to Nigeria include The Arbitration, The Wedding Party, and Falling, A Soldier’s Story (2015), Out of Luck (2015), and Couple of Days (2016).
The actress also played Shiela in the fourth and fifth seasons of Shuga, a television soap opera about HIV/AIDS prevention.
