Archaeology       

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in any 2 Arts subject.

Archeology Combined Degrees in any of the Followings: History, Classics, Religious Studies

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in any 2 Arts subjects

Classics

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes including Lit-In-English or History
  • NCE in relevant subjects

Communication & Language Arts    

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and one other Arts or Social Science subjects.

English Language & Literature

  • 2 ‘A’ level subjects to include Literature in English.

European Studies:

French       

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in French and any other subject in Arts and Social Science subjects OR the equivalent of ‘A’ level Certificate

French Combined Honours with one of German/Russian or with any other Arts subject.       

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in French and any other subject in Arts and Social Science subjects OR the equivalent of ‘A’ level Certificate

Russian     

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in Russian and any other subject in Arts and Social Science subjects or the equivalent of A/L Certificate.

  • Diploma in Music from recognized Institutions with a minimum of Upper Credit.
  • NCE with major in Music with a minimum of an Upper Credit or Merit.
  • Any good degree or HND with Grade VI ABRSM or MUSON Certificate.

Philosophy 

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in ONE Arts subject and any other Arts/Social Science or Science (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, e.t.c.) subject.

Religious Studies

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes to include Religious studies or CRK and one other subject in Arts/Social Sciences

Theatre Arts

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in Arts, Social Science or Science subjects.

  • ‘A’ level passes or NCE in 2 subjects (in teaching subjects available in U.I.)

Human Kinetics

  • Diploma in Physical and Health Education with overall percentage of 60% plus UTME requirement

Health Education 

  • NCE in Biology, Health Education plus UTME requirement.
  • Registered Nurse plus UTME requirement

  • OND/HND Computer Science or any other Mathematics based courses with grade of Upper Credit.
  • I Professional Diploma in Statistics with 5/6 ‘O’ level credits including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject.

Geography 

  • 2 ‘A’ level subjects including Geography and any other Science subject.

Geology    

  • 2 ‘A’ level subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography and any other Science subjects.
  • OND Geology Upper Credit.

Mathematics       

  • 2 ‘A’ level subjects including Mathematics and any Science subject OR NCE with at least merit in Mathematics and one other approved Science subject.

Microbiology      

  • ‘A’ level passes in Botany/Biology and Chemistry.

Physics      

  • ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics, NCE and OND holders are eligible.

Statistics    

  • 2 ‘A’ level subjects to include Mathematics or University of Ibadan Professional Diploma in Statistics (plus five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics)

Zoology     

  • 2 ‘A’ level Science subjects to include Biology/Zoology

Economics  

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Government, History, Chemistry and Agricultural Science
  • UI accepts own Diploma in Statistics with 2 year working experience into the first year of the third year Degree programme provided the candidate passes GCE O/L Credits passes (or equivalent) in five subjects including English, Mathematics and Economics.
  • UI accepts 2 ‘A’ level passes but ‘O’ Level credits should include Mathematics and Economics.

Political Science   

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes including Government or History.

Psychology

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes including Biology, Chemistry, Statistics, Government, Geography, Economics or Mathematics.

Geography

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes in Geography and any one of Economics, Government and History.

Sociology   

  • 2 ‘A’ level passes including Government or History
