Top 20 Nigerian Songs of the Decade


A list of Top 20 Nigerian Songs of the decade was put together by MTV Base in a round table debate among certain experienced musical industry personalities consisting of Olisa Adibua ( OAP & Producer), Timothy Horwood (Head of Channel, MTV Base), DJ Jimmy Jatt, Mark Redguard (Spinlet/960 Music group), Tosyn Bucknor (OAP), Tolu Toolz Oniru (OAP), Lanre Onipede (Talent manager, MTV Base) and Noble Igwe (360Nobs).

Top 20 Nigerian Songs of the decade

The songs were selected based on popularity & success not just in Nigeria alone but off the shores and during the debate some songs were either moved up the chart, down the chart and some removed entirely when more recognized songs were introduced to the chart.
