JAMB subject combination for Computer Science

To study Computer science, you have to take the following subjects in your Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. These are:

English language

Math

Physics

Any of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Economics, Geography

You should aim to get a score above 200. This is so you can be on the safe side because admission into universities and particularly for this course is competitive.

O Level subjects requirements needed to study Computer Science

Candidates who wish to study Computer science must have at least five credits passes in the following subjects: English Language; Mathematics; Physics plus two other science subjects.

Direct entry requirements to study Computer Science

Candidates who are admitted via direct entry resume into the second year, that is, 200 level. Such must meet either of the following requirements:

Two A/Level passes in science-related subjects to include Mathematics

NCE with at least Merit in Mathematics in addition to any other Science and Social Science subject.
