American University of Nigeria (AUN) is a private university located in north-eastern part of Nigeria. The school offers an American style of higher education programs at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels. The institution was founded in 2004. It is the only university in Sub-Saharan Africa that follows the American style of university education and is also accredited by the Nigerian National Universities Commissions. General Requirement for admission into the American University of Nigeria
- Students must have met the minimum Jamb score of 160 or JAMB’s yearly official cut off score to be considered for admission at AUN
- Students who possess five (5) credits passes in O’ level results, to include English Language and Mathematics will be considered for admission. This result must be obtained at not more than two SSCE sittings. Equivalent examinations are also acceptable from a country that requires other types of exit exams or standardized tests while exceptions are made for some cases.
Requirements for Engineering and Technology
The minimum requirements for applicants to the Engineering and Technology program is to have credit passes in the Senior Secondary School examination or GCE O’level in five subjects to include Mathematics, English Language, Physics and Chemistry. It is also of an added advantage if candidates have credits in Further Mathematics and Technical drawing. In addition to this, candidates must have acceptable scores in UTME.
Bachelor of Laws (LLB honours)
Candidates seeking admission into the Bachelor of Laws (LLB Honors) program must in addition to all other relevant art subject, possess a credit in Literature-in-English.
