General Requirements for Postgraduate Diplomas / Masters in University of Lagos
- Applicants must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Lagos or any other approved University
- Can have obtained other qualification(s) recognized by the senate of the University of Lagos;
- Must be ready to undergo a selection process in the form of written and/or oral examinations as a condition for admission as required by the school in addition to (i) and (ii) above

Requirements for M.PHIL/PhD Programme
Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil)
- Candidates who wish to apply for the above programme must have obtained a Bachelor’s honours degree from this University or any other approved University
- Candidate must have graduated with at least a Second Class (Upper Division).
- Candidates with a Master’s degree must have a minimum CGPA of at least 3.50
- The candidate must be ready to undergo a selection process as determined by the respective department.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Candidates who wish to apply for the above programme must have obtained the degree of Master of Philosophy with a minimum CGPA of 4.0.
- A candidate who has obtained the degree of Masters of Science must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0
