AAUW International Fellowships

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) is a capacity building program which is provided to organisations in 51 countries. Sweden-based Scholarships

Swedish Institute Study Scholarships

Lund University Global Scholarships for Non-EU/EEA Students

Belgium-based Scholarships

VLIR-UOS Scholarship Awards

VLIR-UOS awards full scholarships to students from 54 developing countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to pursue an English based training or Master’s Programme related to development at Universities in Belgium.

 

France-based Scholarships

Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme

Established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme is a tool that allows French higher education institutions to attract the best foreign students for master’s and PhD degree programs.  The beneficiaries of this scheme receive a monthly allowance and other expenses which include return trip, health insurance and cultural activities but it does not cover tuition fees.

 

ENS International Selection Scholarships

This scholarship provides 30 of the most promising international students in the Sciences and Humanities for a two or three-year course at the ENS. These scholars receive a monthly stipend of approximately €1,000.

 

Emily Boutmy Scholarships for International Students at Sciences Po

The scholarship was created by the Sciences Po in order to attract the very best international students from outside of the European Union.  The value of the Emily Boutmy Master’s Programme range from €5,000 to €16,000  depending on the course type.

 

Norway-based Scholarships

Quota Scholarship Scheme

This scholarship is a brainchild of the Norwegian government and the scheme provides scholarships for students from developing countries in the South and countries of Central- and East-Europe and Central-Asia under the Quota Scheme. Typically, the scheme includes courses at the Master and PhD level as well as certain professional degrees offered by state universities and colleges in Norway. Each student receives the same amount of money as a Norwegian student would do in an equivalent educational programme. 40% of the amount is given as a grant and 60% as a loan. However, if the student returns to his/her home country after completing the course of study, the loan will be waived.

 

Switzerland-based Scholarships

ETH Excellence Scholarships (Switzerland)

The ETH Zurich supports outstanding students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH. There are two scholarship programmes which include the Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) and the Master Scholarship Programme (MSP).

The Excellence Scholarship comprise a grant covering living and study expenses (CHF 11,000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver while the Master Scholarship Programme comprise a partial stipend for living and study expenses (CHF 6,000 per semester) as well as a tuition fee waiver.

 

Swiss Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships provide graduates from 180 countries across the globe with postgraduate research scholarship opportunities to pursue doctoral or postdoctoral research in any academic field at any university in Switzerland. The scholarship covers a monthly allowance, tuition fees, health insurance, lodging allowance, etc.

 

University of Lausanne Master’s Grant for Foreign Students

The University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers scholarships to international students who intend to pursue a Masters Degree at the University through the UNIL Master’s Grants.  The amount of the grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July or for duration of the programme.
