The University of Nigeria, commonly referred to as UNN, is a federal university located in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. This article covers the faculties and courses offered in the school, requirements for admission, correct JAMB subject combination, UTME, and direct entry requirements.
General Entry requirements into University of Nigeria
- Age Limit: In order to gain admission into the University of Nigeria, candidates must be above the age of sixteen (16) years.
- Admission Requirements: Candidates applying for admission into any of the courses under the University of Nigeria, Nsukka must possess five credit level passes which must include the following subjects: Mathematics, English Language and three other science/Art or Commercial subject, depending on the proposed course of study. The result must be obtained in not more than two sittings
- Candidates applying via Direct Entry must also have the UTME requirement for the particular course in order to be admitted into the University.
- Candidates who have Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in addition to credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or other approved equivalent examinations may be considered.
- Every candidate seeking admission to any course at the University of Nigeria must make at least 200 pass mark in JAMB in order to qualify for internal screening by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka

Admission requirements via direct entry
Candidates seeking admission via direct entry must have any of the following requirements:
- NCE in Agricultural Science with at least, a pass in Chemistry.
- GCE A/L pass in two of the following subjects: Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Economics.
- National Diploma (ND) or Diploma from any recognized Nigerian School of Agriculture, or University.
Business Education
Candidates applying for Business Education via UTME must have credit passes in five subjects obtained at SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O/L to include English Language, Mathematics and any of the following subjects: Economics, Commerce, Principles of Accounting and Typewriting.
