Nigerian Army University Biu Courses & Requirements

The Nigerian Army established a university in Biu, Borno State as a part of its strategic repositioning of the Nigerian military. The University is meant to function as a solution centre for the technological and other operational challenges faced by the Nigerian Army, the military and the nation at large. Admission requirements into the Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences

UTME application

Candidates applying via UTME into the above courses must have five credit passes in the following subjects at SSCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent. These five credit passes must include English language, Mathematics, and two other arts or social science subjects such as CRS, Government, etc. The result must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

Direct entry application

Candidates applying via direct entry must have a minimum of upper credits or at least two A’ level passes to include English, French, History or other subjects relevant to the course of study

UTME application

Candidates applying via UTME must have five credit passes at O’ level results which must include English language, Mathematics, Economics and two other from Accounting, Commerce or Statistics at SSCE/NECO/GCE/IJMB or its equivalent. The result must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

Application via direct entry

Candidates applying via direct entry must have a minimum of upper credits or at least two A’ level passes to include Accounting and either one of Mathematics, Business Management, Economics, Statistics or Geography

Admission requirements for UTME

Candidates applying via UTME to the courses above must have five credit passes in science subjects to include Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and any other science subject.

Application via direct entry

Candidates applying via direct entry must have a minimum of upper credits or at least two A’ level passes in subjects related to the proposed course of study. This is in addition to the credit passes required for UTME candidates

Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences

  • BSc Agriculture
  • BSc Biology
  • BSc Chemistry
  • BSc Mathematics
  • BSc Electronics
  • BSc Physics

UTME application

Candidates applying via UTME to any of the programs under the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences must have at least five credit passes in science subjects to include English language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at SSCE/NECO/GCE or its equivalent. Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.

Application via direct entry

Candidates applying via direct entry must have a minimum of upper credits or at least two A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology, or Plant Science and Biotechnology or Zoology and Environmental Biology or any other subject related to the proposed course of study. This is in addition to the credit passes required for UTME candidates

Admission requirements for UTME

Admission requirements for candidates via UTME who wish to study courses under Environmental sciences are five credit passes to include Mathematics, Economics and one other subject from Chemistry, Geography, Agricultural Science and Biology.

Candidates applying via direct entry must have a minimum of upper credits or at least two A’ level passes in subjects relevant to the proposed course of study. In addition to the credit passes required for UTME candidates

  • Eng. Electrical & Electronics Engineering

UTME Admission requirements

Candidates applying via UTME must have 5 credit passes in O’level examinations to include Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry. Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
