There are quite a number of reasons why people ask if there are art related courses that do not have Literature in English as a requirement for admission into the higher institution, be it: the polytechnic, University or College of Education. Such reasons could include:

  • Those who failed Literature in English (with a D7, E8 or F9) in their O-Level Results (WAEC or NECO or its equivalent)
  •  Those who do not find the subject particularly intriguing and would rather avoid whatever course will require they have a thorough grasp or idea of Literature yet were able to pass it in their O’ level examinations
  • Those who did not write Literature in English as part of their UTME subjects.
  • Those whose literature results were withheld
  • Those who do not like literature but want to study an art related course
  • Those who did not include literature in their O level examinations (WAEC/NECO/GCE or its equivalent)

Some of those requirements include having a minimum of Credit in Government or Literature In English or Christian Religious studies in the O-level examinations which are WAEC, NECO, GCE etc for art courses.
