SMILE INTERNET TRUEUnlimited is a FRAUD at N20,000 per month. Been using it for years and the speedtest is always around 0.3Mbps or less throughout the day in Ibadan. People have complained severally but the NCC is not doing anything about them. Looking for an alternative is what brought me here.

Why is smile ng not here
SMILE IS A FRAUD! I have about 10 of their devices [home & business mifis, routers] because I’ve been using them since they arrived in Ibadan.
When you first join SMILE, it is fast. Once you are hooked they turn the speed down.
If you complain, initially they will tell you it may be your area, despite using it in several areas, apart from home in Bodija, then you see a slight improvement. [only for some time before they turn it down again]. If you buy the GB bundles it will deplete as fast as possible, finishing as quick as possible, despite turning it down in your personal settings.
If you buy the so-called TRUEUnlimited monthly, it will be fast the first few days, but the major part of the month it is snail speed or nothing to even browse at all. Speedtests of 0.3Mbps download are very common throughout the day.
After sometime of more complaints, they start to ignore you. Afterall, there are not too many options in Ibadan. Spectranet doesn’t have the area of cover that they cover, etc. So you are on your own.
It is sad that our government & NCC allow these companies to provide poor service and rake in money and get away with it. With higher demand during this coronavirus period, the speed is even zero most times. They have ignored several complaints through live chat, email, online form.
