Shortly before I started writing this, I decided to test two of my friend’s knowledge on how well they know Nigeria and postal codes is one of the areas I tested.
“What is the Postal Code of Lagos?” I asked
Both of them wasted no time in blurting out “23401”
Huh??? Say what?
I wanted to start laughing at them until I remembered that there was a time I used to make same mistake and fill forms with wrong postal codes.
Please, my good Nigerian people, the postal code for Lagos is not ‘23401’; not even close.
The postal code for both Lagos Islandis 101001and Mainlandis 101001.
