What’s more, you can initiate a verification request for your driver’s license, whether you are in Nigeria or another country. 

Before you begin with the verification exercise, keep the following documents handy as you would be needing them: 

  • Drivers license
  • Request letter (could be image or pdf)
  • Proof of identification (could be any of national identity card, voter’s card, or international passport)

Follow the following steps to verify the authenticity of your national driver’s license: 

  • Go to http://www.ndlverification.frsc.gov.ng/signup/ to create an account. If you ready did, just log in
  • Next, you’ll receive an email from FRSC NDLV Portal account@frsc.gov.ng to confirm your account. Click on the link provided to confirm your registration 
  • Upon successful confirmation, log in to your newly created NDLV portal 
  • Once you’ve logged in to your account, visit your Dashboard  
  • On your Dashboard, scroll to the bottom where you’ll see ‘Create a new verification request’
  • Next, tap on the ‘New request’ button to begin supplying the requested details
  • Then, you’ll have to upload the front and back images of your driver’s license  
  • Next, upload your request letter stating why you need to verify your driver’s license
  • Next, click on ‘Applicant’s proof of identification and select the government-issued identification document you have
  • Then, upload the proof of identity
  • Next, click on ‘Request type’ and select ‘Drivers License Verification’ from the options 
  • Next, click on ‘Receiving Country’ and select ‘Nigeria’ from the drop-down
  • Next, provide the email of the receiving address 
  • Also, provide the phone number of the receiving address 
  • The next and final section is ‘Shipping and Payment’ 
  • Click on ‘Shipping Details’ to provide the shipping address you want your verified request sent to

  • Go to https://nigeriadriverslicence.org/ 
  • Click on ‘DL Application’ 
  • From the drop-down, click on ‘Reissue of Driver’s License’, or ‘Renewal of Driver’s License’ if your driver’s license has expired 
  • Input your driver’s license number and date of birth in the provided box
  • Click on the search button 
  • Then, click ‘OK’ to confirm the details of your driver’s number
  • If your driver’s license is genuine, you’ll see your information appear on the screen
