The States of Kebbi and Adamawa had supplementary elections conducted on April 15th, 2023, after reported cases of violence, over-voting and other irregularities on March 18th, 2023. The States where gubernatorial elections didn’t hold on March 18th include Anambra, Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Imo, Kogi, Osun, and Ondo. The reason why gubernatorial elections in the aforementioned States would be held off-season is the sitting governors in those States didn’t start their tenure on May 29, 2019, due to litigations and court judgements.
