One point, worthy of note, is the security of both buyers and sellers on these classifieds platforms. I believe it’s important that bloggers play their own role in sensitizing people on how to stay safe, while engaing in any online transaction. Olx insists buyers and sellers MUST meet physically, to agree on terms, and effect their transaction, but most users of OLX still fall prey to some of these internet criminals. Considering the treatening nature of this issue, it’s now important that sellers on any classifieds platform are manually and physically verified. This ofcourse, won’t be too easy, but it’s the surest way to deal with increasing security treat, and restore the deminishing confidence of classifieds users. Adbushi (www.adbushi.com) is one platform that has started out with a clear mission to eliminate scammers. They have invented the system of allocating each category to physically verified sellers. I hope that more classifieds will emulate this step.
