  • Head Office, NIMASA

The head office of NIMASA is located at Maritime House, 4 Burma Road, off Wharf Road, Apapa, Lagos State. NIMASA is enthroned to effectively and efficiently serve as the regulator of the maritime domain in Nigeria in line with global best practices. Enforcement of cabotage services, prevention of maritime pollution, shipping regulation, provision of maritime security and implementation of international conventions on maritime labour and commercial shipping are among the areas of NIMASA’s focus in Nigeria.

  • Port Harcourt NIMASA Office

The Port Harcourt NIMASA Office is the headquarters of NIMASA in the Eastern Zone, and it is located at 78B, Azikiwe Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. As the eastern zone headquarters of NIMASA, this office is dedicated to fulfilling the obligations and duties of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency in the following areas maritime safety and security, International ship and port facility security, ship registration services, cabotage services, servicom, and marine environment management, among others.

NIMASA Onne Port office is located at the Federal Lighter Terminal, Onne, Eleme, Rivers State. The presence of NIMASA in Onne Port ensures that maritime security is treated as an existential priority and maritime safety as an operational necessity in maritime services, as well as valuing shipping development with economic urgency.

  • Calabar NIMASA Office

The NIMASA Office in Calabar is located at  2, Big Qua Road, opposite Calabar Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State. The Calabar NIMASA office carries out its duties in line with the core functions of the agency such as hydrographic services, surveys and inspections, and ship security.

The Eket NIMASA Office is located at 51, Afaha Uqua Road, Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

  • Yenagoa Port NIMASA Office

This is one of the NIMASA branches that regulates and harnesses the eastern zone of Nigeria’s maritime domain. The Yenagoa Port NIMASA office is located at 14, Major Andy Oputa Street, off Festus Mogai Road, Ekeki, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The Bonny NIMASA office is located at Gigi Guest House, Sanfield, Bonny, Rivers State. The NIMASA office in Bonny performs compliance monitoring inspection, Marine Litter Action Plan, regulating insurance service providers issuing civil liability Insurance Blue Cards, as well as registration of Guard Force Companies, among other roles.

The Oron NIMASA office is located within the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom State. One of the services of NIMASA as the regulator and harnessser of Nigeria’s maritime domain is maritime safety and security. The Oron branch of NIMASA is designated as NIMASA Rescue Coordination Centre for search and rescue (SAR) services on Nigerian waters.

This NIMASA office is located at 88, Maritime Road, GRA, Apapa, Lagos State.   • Nigerian Maritime Resource Development Centre (NMRDC)

The Nigerian Maritime Resource Development Centre is located at Kirikiri Phase II, Apapa, Lagos State. NIMASA is devoted to promoting the growth of local capacity in the Nigerian maritime sector, and the NMRDC serves as a centre of maritime knowledge. The e-library, maritime data bank, excellent learning environment and robust facilities are notable elements of the Nigerian Maritime Resource Development Centre.

The Tin-Can Island Port NIMASA office is located at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Commercial Building, Tin-Can Island, Lagos State.

  • NIMASA Northern Zone

  • Abuja NIMASA Office

The Abuja NIMASA Office is on 2, River Benue Street, off Ibrahim Babangida Way, Maitama, Abuja, FCT. The Abuja Maritime Office serves as the headquarters of the Northern Zone of NIMASA. The responsibilities performed by the Northern Zone headquarters are in line with the provisions of the relevant instruments (Cabotage Act, NIMASA Act, and Merchant Shipping Act) guiding the maritime industry in Nigeria

The NIMASA branch in Lokoja is located at the Naval Dockyard, Marina Road, Lokoja, Kogi State. The duties executed by Lokoja Office are broadly categorized into Cabotage services, ship registration services, legal services, maritime safety and security, International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPC), marine environmental management, and maritime labour employment.

This branch of NIMASA is located at 19, Warri-Sapele Road, Warri, Delta State. This is the headquarters of NIMASA Central Zone. Within its jurisdiction, the Warri NIMASA office ensures maximum compliance of NIMASA customers to set guidelines, regulations and international codes and conventions, administer safety standards, and other responsibilities as may be contained in The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Act 2007, Merchant Shipping Act and Coastal and Inland (Cabotage) Act 2003.
