List of Nigerians Who Own Private Jets

Are you wondering which ultra-rich Nigerians enjoy the luxury of traveling in their aircraft? In this article, we’d be listing who they are and indicating the type of aircraft they own, if possible. You should, however, put in mind that this list may not contain the names of Nigerians who own private jets. Read on. 

List of Nigerians Who Own Private Jets

This is a list of Nigerians who own private jets: 

  • Mike Adenuga 

Mike Adenuga, the owner of Conoil, Globacom, and Cobblestone Properties, is one of the Nigerians who own private jets. He owns at least three known personal aircraft, which include a Bombardier Challenger 604, a Falcon 7X, and a Bombardier Global Express XRS. 

  • Orji Uzor Kalu

Orji Uzor Kalu, former two-term Abia State governor, and current senator, is an ultra-rich businessman and politician who owns at least three private jets. The aircraft we can confirm he owns at the time of writing this article include Gulfstream G650, Gulfstream IV, and Bombardier EXP XL. 

  • Aliko Dangote 

World’s richest black man, and by extension, Nigeria’s wealthiest person, Aliko Dangote is a proud owner of at least two known private aircraft. These include a Bombardier Global Express XRS and another luxury jet capable of conveying 19 passengers and flying a distance of 14300km.  

  • Arthur Eze 

Arthur Eze is an extremely wealthy businessman with investments across several sectors of the economy, in Nigeria and other African countries. He owns several aircraft, including a Gulfstream jet, a Bombardier Stream, and a Falcon jet.  

  • Adedeji Adeleke

The chairman of Pacific Holdings Limited and father to Davido, Adedeji Adeleke is an extremely rich businessman. No wonder the renowned musician, Davido, refers to himself as Omo Baba Olowo, meaning “child of a rich man”. Adedeji Adeleke owns a Bombardier Global Express 6000.

  • Johnson Suleiman 

Johnson Suleiman, the popular televangelist and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, is one of few Nigerians who own a private jet. Although we cannot confirm the make of the aircraft he owns, we are certain he owns at least a private aircraft.  

  • David Oyedepo

David Oyedepo, who is best known for being the founding pastor and General Overseer of Living Faith Church, owns at least four private aircraft. These private jets include a Bombardier Challenger 604, Gulfstream IV (G-IV), Gulfstream V (Gee-5), and Grumman Gulfstream I (G-15a). 

  • Enoch Adebayo

The General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch A. Adebayo, is among the Nigerians who own personal aircraft(s). Enoch Adebayo owns several personal jets, however, we can confirm that he owns Gulfstream G550 and Gulfstream G-IV aircraft.  

  • Theophilus Danjuma

After an illustrious career in the military, Theophilus Danjuma delved into business.  He has amassed billions from shipping and revenue from OML 246 oil block which his exploration firm, South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO), owns and operates. Theophilus Danjuma owns at least two private jets, which include a Hawker 900 XP and Bombardier Challenger 605. 

  • Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto 

Cletus Ibeto is a successful businessman who has accumulated substantial wealth from investments in several sectors of the economy, including real estate, oil and gas, and hospitality, among others. As an ultra-rich individual, Cletus Ibetus owns at least one personal aircraft. We can’t, however, confirm what the make of the aircraft is at the time of writing this article. 

  • Femi Otedola

Femi Otedola owns a private jet, however, the type of aircraft he owns cannot be confirmed at the time of writing this time.   

  • Atiku Abubakar 

Atiku Abubakar is a prolific businessman who has amassed billions of Naira from his investments in various sectors of the economy. Atiku Abubakar owns an Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft. 

  • Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect in the February 2023 election, owns at least two private aircraft. 

  • Rochas Okorocha 

Rochas Okorocha, who is the senator representing Imo West and former Imo State governor, is one of the owners of private aircraft in Nigeria. 

  • Olusegun Obasanjo 

Olusegun Obasanjo, former military president, and two-term civilian president, is a private jet owner in Nigeria. 

  • Ali Modu Sheriff

Ali Modu Sheriff, a serving senator and former governor of Borno State, owns at least four private jets, including three Dornier aircraft and a Gulfstream G650. 

  • Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana)

In 2022, Obi Cubana purchased an Embraer ERJ-145MP aircraft for his personal use, making him among the Nigerians that own a private jet. 

  • Godswill Akpabio 

Godswill Akpabio owns a Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft for his private use. 

  • Rotimi Amaechi 

Rotimi Amaechi, the past Minister of Transportation under the Buhari administration, is one of few Nigerians that own a private jet. He owns a Bombardier Global 5000 (N565RS) aircraft. 

  • Ayo Oritsejafor 

Ayo Oritsejafor, founding pastor of World of Life Bible Church, is another private jet owner in Nigeria. He owns a Bombardier Challenger 601 aircraft.

  • Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda 

Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda is an elder statesman who ruled Nigeria as military president from 1985 to 1993. After leaving active service in the military, IBB invested in several blue-chip companies, including Globacom. His investments have yielded fruits, as IBB is among the richest men in Nigeria. Expectedly, IBB enjoys the luxury of being a billionaire, including owning a Learjet 45 aircraft for his air travel. 

  • Bishop Mike Okonkwo 

Bishop Mike Okonkwo, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) owns a private jet. We don’t, however, know the kind of aircraft he has. 

  • Ifeanyi Ubah 

Ifeanyi Ubah owns an Embraer Legacy 6000 aircraft which he uses for his personal air travel needs. 

  • Allen Ifechukwu Onyema

Allen Onyema, CEO of Air Peace, the indigenous airline with the most aircraft, deserves to be on this list. Although the aircraft are for commercial purposes, he makes use of them for his travel needs too. 

  • Ned Nwoko

Ned Nwoko owns a Falcon 7x aircraft which he uses for his and his family’s travel needs. 

  • Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Funfeyin

Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Funfeyin, the General Overseer of Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, owns a Bombardier Challenger 601-3R aircraft which he and his family use for their air travel needs. 

  • Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi 

Ernest Azudialu Obiejese, the chairman of NestOil, owns a Gulfstream GIV (N990EA) aircraft for his personal use.

  • Folorunsho Alakija

Folorunsho Alakija of Famfa Oil Limited, the indigenous oil exploration firm in charge of OPL 216, owns a Bombardier Global Express XRS aircraft.
