DJ Humility is one of the best DJs in the country. His real name is Benedict Afagbe. DJ Humility had very humble beginnings. He grew up as a barrack boy. His father was a policeman until his death in 2005.

Afagbe revealed that he once worked as a load carrier and bus conductor. According to the DJ, he was a first-class truant and an unrepentant stubborn child. He came into the limelight when he was just 15 years. Initially, his father didn’t support his decision but he had a change of heart when he became popular.

DJ Humility got married in 2009 and he has three boys. He revealed in an interview that his second child is showing signs of emulating his interest in entertainment.

Olawunmi Okerayi popular known by her stage name DJ Lambo is a female Nigerian DJ. She is one of the richest DJs in the country.

She was signed to Loopy Music in 2013 before its merged with Chocolate City in 2015. She won DJ of the Year (Female) at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards. Also, Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET) listed her as one of top 5 Nigerian DJs to watch out for in 2015.

In 2017, DJ Lambo was among the few DJs selected to play at Big Brother Nigeria’s season 2 Saturday party of the Big Brother Naija reality game show.

DJ Caise was born Derin Phillips. He studied at the University of Reading and the Point Blank Music College before launching his career as a DJ.

It was when he met the General Manager of Beat 99.9 FM that he was able to launch his career as a DJ. Subsequently, he began traveling the world performing at Big Brother Africa, MTV, BET. DJ Caise also headlined festivals in Kenya and Cardiff, Wales.

DJ Caise is related to Chief Antonio Deinde Fernandez, a business mogul and diplomat. His mum who is the daughter of Chief Fernandez was a former Lagos State commissioner.

His interest in music began during his time at the University of Reading. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s degree in Finance at the University.

DJ Caise is signed to Chocolate City Records and he is best known for hosting DJ Caise In The Mix, which is held every Friday night from 9 pm to 7 am on The Beat 99.9 FM.

DJ Cuppy is the daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola. She was born Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola on the 11th of November, 1992. She is professionally known as DJ Cuppy. She is also a producer.

Cuppy graduated from King’s College London in July 2014, with a degree in Business and Economics. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Music Business from New York University in 2015.

In 2014 Cuppy was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban. She has also played at the Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball in London, and at the Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico City.

In July 2014, she released House of Cuppy as her first compilation mix in London and Lagos before launching it in New York on September 2, 2014. That same year, Cuppy also launched the London-based music management and content production business, Red Velvet Music Group.

DJ Cuppy has served as brand ambassador for several organizations. She was appointed by Nigeria’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation (Edem Duke) as the tourism ambassador for the country’s “Fascinating Nigeria” campaign.

DJ Jimmy Jatt was born Oluwaforijimi “Jimmy” Adewale Amu on the 15th of October 1966.

He is professionally known as DJ Jimmy Jatt and he is one of the pioneering hip-hop DJs in Nigeria. He started out his music career as a rapper under the sobriquet Master J but delved into DJing after his failure in getting signed by a record label despite releasing a handful of songs including a demo recording.

In 2006, he won the Hip Hop World Hall of Fame award at the maiden edition of The Headies for his contribution to hip-hop in Nigeria.

DJ Jimmy Jatt became popular as a DJ when he hosted the street carnival called “Road Block”, which was an event which involved lyrical rap battles between upcoming and underground rappers.

In 2007, he released a mixtape titled The Definition, a compilation of songs which features several Nigerian artistes including Sound Sultan, 2Baba, Mode 9, Naeto C, 9ice, Ruggedman, eLDee, M.I among others. The mixtape included “Stylee”, a song which features vocals from 2Baba, Mode 9 and ElaJoe and went on to be nominated in two categories at the 2007 edition of the Channel O Music Video Awards.

The DJ grew up in Lagos State and DJ SPINALL is also the first African DJ to perform at the SXSW Festival in the United States.

He was signed to Mavin Records in 2013 although he is no longer under the record label.

In 2018, DJ Spinall signed an international major deal with Atlantic Records UK and the record deal was announced via his Instagram post at Atlantic Records UK headquarter where the recording deal was signed between Spinall and Atlantic Records UK.

Rotimi Alakija popularly known as DJ Xclusive is one of the most notable and richest DJs in the country. He is also a record producer and recording artist. DJ Xclusive is said to be worth an estimated $2.1 million.

He was born in the UK to Nigerian parents. At an early age, he moved back to Nigeria to pursue a high school education at King’s College, Lagos before returning to the UK to study Physics and Computer Science at Reading University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree. He later studied Financial Computing at Brunel University London.

DJ Xclusive started his professional disc jockey career in 2003 by performing at various nightclubs, including Aura Mayfair, Penthouse, Funky Buddha and Jalouse. During the course of his career, DJ Xclusive has performed with acts like Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Mario Winans, Brick and Lace, Nas and Fat Joe.
