Olamide revealed in his 2019 New Year Resolution that he will be changing from a god to human come 2019 because of his plans to deal with some set of people he labelled “small kids”.

According to Olamide, evolving from god to human is hard for him, but regardless, he is getting used to how it’s done in the human kingdom.

He further stated that it is a hard thing to do but he finally understands the ways of “mother fuckers” and “sons of bitches‘ and he will deal with them”

Olamide Storms The Stage Of OLIC Wearing Face Mask (December 25, 2018)

A few hours to his show, OLIC 5, Olamide shared cool photos of his outfit. In classy Olamide style, it was as unconventional as the singer’s fashion sense has proven to be since he surfaced on the music scene. Donning a black face mask, he wore a white shirt and black pants accessorized by straps that looked like suspenders and holsters. His choice of footwear was also rather peculiar to the dressing.

Olamide Responds To Money Ritual Accusation In “Logo Benz” (December 21, 2018)

A few hours after the release of the song ‘Logo Benz,’ by Lil Kesh which featured Olamide, some fans of the star were disappointed with the content of the song especially the money ritual which looks to glorify criminal behaviour.

In the past, there have been accusations by people that Olamide tends to glorify absurd and bizarre form of money making and are of the opinion that it has become some sort of trademark for Olamide especially.

His hit track “Story for the Gods” which seems to justify rape and another track, “Science Student” seems to glorify the use of drugs although the musician made an attempt to save face by making an inspiration video.

There are insinuations that Olamide seems to love promoting perversity under the guise of “creating awareness. However, the musician has since responded to the accusation via Twitter stating that Logo Benz is for the 3rd party to have a glimpse into the current state of youths in our society.

Unfortunately, the attention comes with a bad time as the pop star is set to headline a concert in a few days and some people are already crying for the show’s boycott.

Lil Kesh Reacts to Money Ritual Accusation in “Logo Benz” (December 21, 2018)

Olamide’ protégé has also responded to the criticism surrounding his song in which the glorification of money rituals was its main subject.

According to Lil Kesh, the issue of money ritual is one that has become incessant in the country in recent times with several reported cases of individuals or groups arrested with human parts and people killed for “blood money” and his song was to increase awareness and not to promote the act.

According to Olamide, the population of Nigeria is huge, and everyone cannot fill up one event centre. He further stated that Wizkid’s show would not in any way affect the success of his own show. The artist revealed that he didn’t know about the date of Wikzid’s show so it was a surprise for him it clashed with his own.

Olamide Holds No Grudge With NBC (November 25, 2018)

It is no news that the National Broadcasting Commission has banned several Olamide songs over the last few years.

According to the popular musician, he stated that he is not trying to please anyone; he’s simply just trying to make music. And if anyone likes his songs, it is okay but if it turns out that you don’t like it, it is cool too. Davido Shuns Wizkid’s and Olamide’s Concerts (December 24, 2018)

Everyone is talking about Wizkid and Olamide after last night’s shutdown in Lagos from both artistes.

While Wizkid hosted many at the Made in Lagos Festival, Olamide also hosted thousands at his OLIC5.

There had been murmurs that falling on the same day would affect these concerts, however, both concerts were successful.

Surprisingly, Wizkid even showed up at Olamide’s concert to give his support at the end of it.

What however has remained shocking and would make news is the absence of Davido at both shows.

While it could be that Davido and Wizkid’s much-celebrated reconciliation and friendship has once again met its deadline as the battle for supremacy takes over, we can’t help but wonder why Davido also shunned Baddosneh’s OLIC5 or why he wasn’t invited.

From all indication especially judging by his snap and IG stories in the last 24hrs, Davido is in Lagos.

Wizkid Pictured At Olamide’s Concert #OLIC5 (December 24, 2018)

Wizkid pulled an interesting stunt as he managed to show up at Olamide’s concert despite having his own concert the same day.

The concert tagged OLIC 5 was held at the Eko Convention centre. This was the same night as Wizkid’s Made In Lagos Concert which took place at Eko Atlantic city.

At about 2 am, Wizkid kicked off a live set at his (own) festival which spanned about an hour. After mesmerizing his fans, the Starboy found a way against the terrible traffic situation to navigate to Olamide’s concert where he also delivered a brief performance

Fans Threaten To Boycott Olamide’s Concert Over Content Of New Single, ‘Logo Benz’ (December 21, 2018)

As he opened the track with the lyrics, “I dey pray to Jesu, ko wo wole o, If money no enter I go do blood money o…”, which seemingly validate the harrowing act of money rituals, Olamide looked to be setting himself up for some castigation.

In the course of the song, both Olamide and Lil Kesh went on to loosely endorse the use of female undies by cybercriminals for sacrifice – a ravaging trend that has reportedly caused a lot of ladies to lose their sanity and lives by extension.

Interestingly, this comes just days after Olamide released an equally suggestive video for his single, Poverty Die – a song that saw him waging war against lack and penury. In the said video, some scenes found him pacing in a hall sort of like a teacher supervising an array of masked men, nodding in unison to the tempo of the song with personal computers on their laps – a reference to the act of internet fraud.

Olamide calls himself “the Voice of the street” as his music is a portrayal of street culture. He is also positioned as the bridge between the street and mainstream, offering his wings for a crop of talented artistes to fly on – Lil Kesh is a product of his good will. Olamide’s modus operandi is quite understandable but needful to note is that art can be used for much more.

Art can be reflective, destructive and corrective and by every stretch, music which has now become one of the most popularly consumed forms of art as the ability to perform the roles ditto on an exceedingly great scale thereby extending a duty of consciousness to singers and songwriters whose pen and voices capture and echo the tales that are told.

The rapper has overtime declared that the intent of his music is to create awareness around these damaging activities on the streets but in doing so, Olamide continues to, maybe unknowingly crawl along the edges of destructive art. The rapper personalizes these social vices in an endorsing stance without making any concrete attempt to be corrective.

The said song was released to an uproar as a number of the listening public on Twitter were disappointed by the record. Some have begun to suggest that fans boycott the forthcoming Olamide Live in Concert #OLIC as a penalty for the rapper’s negligence.

“My Senior Wife…Oya we all have a wedding to plan.” These were the words of Olamide when he proposed to his baby mama in March, but 9 months later, he seems to be making plans to kill poverty instead.

In the past, Olamide has been quite candid about his resistance to marriage but the rapper shocked us when he proposed to his girlfriend in March.

Even though they’d been dating for almost a decade and have a cute son, Adedeji Batifeori Maximiliano, together Olamide appears to be in no rush to marry her baby mama.

The rapper shared a video with the caption “When my aunties and uncles start asking me about marriage”. This display seems to indicate that the musician may be under some pressure but the question is, is he ready to submit to it?

Olamide Reveals What He Does Asides Making Music (November 13, 2018)

This month, Olamide took delivery of a Bentley. Little wonder, many ask if he is just into music or has his hands tied in some other business.

The rapper had a response to that. He wrote, “They asked me what else am into apart from making music – I tell em “I shaku on the beat as well”.

If you don’t know, Shaku shaku is a popular viral dance in Nigeria.
