Tekno is one of the prominent musicians in Nigeria. He is also a record producer and has produced hit songs for entertainers for the likes of Davido, Lynxx and Flavour. These include songs like If, Pray for You and Catch You.
He has released hit songs like Duro, Pana and many others.
His real names are Augustine Miles Kelechi and his sojourn into music started officially when he signed a music contract with Made Men Music Group.

DJ Cuppy’s “Cactus on the Roof” vibe kicked off at the Wings rooftop in Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday.
The biggest celebrities and nightlife enthusiasts were all in attendance as DJ Cuppy held a shut down party with the best music and best vibes.
Tekno, Mr Eazi, LAX, Paul Okoye, TY Mix, Swanky Jerry and Big Brother Naija housemates, Lolu and Leo Da-Silva, came through at what was indeed a star-studded affair!

He shared ‘Welcome back Man. Though you can’t still perform for now till you are fully recovered, we will turn for others and show love.’

Singer Tekno is not having it all at this period when he’s ongoing battles with severe depression, over threats to his music career.
The management of singer and songwriter, Tekno Miles has urged fans of the Pana singer to remember him in their prayers as the singer is currently going through tough times, as he’s battling with a damaged vocal box.
His baby mama, Lola Rae took to Instagram to boost the singer’s motivation with a video of her singing happily for her baby daddy.
Lola Rae also captioned the video: “We can never run down, together we go run Town.” According to Tekno’s management, “He had tried to downplay the severity of his ailment hoping it will be short-lived, but after further diagnoses, doctors have advised that he takes time out to fully recover. His vocal box is temporarily damaged due to strain from overtime performances and cannot sing or perform for a while.”
Tekno Breaks Silence on Health Challenge (November 29, 2018)
Tekno Miles otherwise known as Tekno took to his Twitter page to reveal that it has been a very difficult time for him after his health challenges were revealed by Ubi Franklin in an Instagram post.
In the post, Franklin asked fans to pray for the Pana crooner and his post is a confirmation that he is not hiding it from his fans.
Tekno had damaged his vocal cords making him unable to sing or engage in any performance. His label boss, Ubi Franklin revealed this on Instagram and asked his fans to pray for him during this hard time. This news came weeks after the singer took to Instagram to ask his fans to pray for him that he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
Tekno’s Voice Box Temporarily Damaged (November 26, 2018)
Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin disclosed that his label’s act, Tekno’s voice box is temporarily damaged and he can no longer sing or perform for now due to strain from overtime performances.
In an Instagram post which was shared, it was further disclosed that Tekno tried to downplay the ailment thinking it will be short-lived, however after further diagnosis by doctors he was asked to take some time out to recover.
Fans have been asked to pray for the singer during this trying time.
Tekno Treats Undisclosed Illness, Apologises to Fans (November 9, 2018)
Tekno has attributed the cancellation of his already booked shows to an undisclosed illness.
The Pana crooner, who shared this on his Instagram page, on Thursday, also announced that he would be taking some time to fully recover before getting back to making music.
He wrote on his Twitter handle @teknoofficial: “I have been away and on treatment. Please don’t be upset that I can’t make it to shows I have been booked for.”

The anticipated release from Ciara, ‘Freak me’ featured Nigerian’s own Tekno. Over the years, Ciara has released successful collaborations that topped the charts which included the likes of Enrique Iglesias, Neyo, Missy Elliot and Bow Wow.

Universal Music Group Signs Tekno, Mr Eazi, Vanessa Mdee, Stone Bwoy (July 17, 2018)
One of the leading global music recording label, Universal Music Group revealed on July 18 details of a lucrative deal with four frontline Africa music stars — Tekno, Mr. Eazi (Nigeria), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania) and Stone Bwoy (Ghana).
The label in a twitter message shared stated: “We’re thrilled to be growing our presence in Africa! Welcome @vanessamdee, @teknoofficial, and kiffnobeat to our global artiste family.
According to the official statement from UMG, the group is planning on launching a strategic division in Nigeria a reason it’s signing more Africans to the label.
The new strategic division will operate from a new office in Lagos, under the leadership of seasoned music executive, Ezegozie Eze Jr., who has been named General Manager of Universal Music Nigeria.
Eze and his team will support artistes from Nigeria, Ghana, and the Gambia throughout the continent and beyond, utilizing Universal Music Group’s global networks for wider discovery, marketing, promotion and distribution.
He had previously held roles at Channel O Television, Empire Mates Entertainment and was a founder of Pan-African creative companies, Republic 54, Alore Group, and Duma Collective.
He brings vital experience in the Nigerian music market and will report to Sipho Dlamini, MD, Universal Music South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Tekno Releases Official Video For “Only One” (December 18, 2017)
Nigerian singer Tekno has had quite a successful year and rounded up with a new track titled Only One.
To celebrate his birthday on Sunday, December 18, the singer released the official video for his new track, which was produced by Legendury Beatz.
The video, which was shot in the United Stated, was directed by Patrick Elis.

DJ Cuppy Teams Up with Tekno On Green Light (November 11, 2017)
Popular DJ and daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, otherwise known as DJ Cuppy teamed up with Triple MG act Tekno for her debut single Green Light.
The song comes with a scintillating video directed by Sesan and will set the tone for more to come. She revealed in an interview with Guardian Newspaper that she is really excited about her new project, Green Light as it is her first official single.
Speaking about the choice of Tekno for the collaboration on the new track, the DJ explained that Tekno is an amazing and creative act that she values a lot. Also, they’ve always wanted to work together and the single is a product of their collaboration and she’s really proud of it.
Also, DJ Cuppy revealed that she thinks Greenlight is a great song. With a few dats of release, she had over a million views on Youtube and it seems the song is doing quite well and she really hopes that people enjoy it.
DJ Cuppy further revealed that “Green Light signifies for her, ‘go.’ Also, to a lot of people, it’s an indication of moving forward. She is using Green Light to represent moving to the next level on her career ladder.
Pepsi Unveils Tekno As Brand Ambassador (April 2, 2017)
During the Pepsi Corporate Elite Concert 2017 which took place at the Expo Centre of Eko Hotel and was tagged ‘Pepsi Weekend Takeover’ at the Expo Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island, the Pepsi brand decided to unveil the popular Nigerian singer and producer, Tekno as its Pepsi Brand Ambassador.
Tekno was welcomed into the Pepsi family in a blaze of glory: razzmatazz, fireworks. The audience cheered and was ecstatic as he came on stage for a brief performance.
The musician joins the likes of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears and many others on the Pepsi Hall of Fame. The Pepsi ambassadors in Nigeria include the likes of Wikid, Tiwa Savage, Davido and Seyi Shay.
Most of the fans who witnessed the event commended Pepsi for the endorsement deal with Tekno, saying that it is a recognition of the hardwork and commitment by the artiste.
Pana King…Tekno Inks A Deal with Sony Music (January 12, 2017)
2017 was clearly a great year for Tekno as the Duro and Pana crooner inked a deal with the global leading music label, Sony Music. The light-skinned singer, who is currently dubbed the de facto Prince of Nigeria pop music, joins the list of Nigerian acts like Davido, Wizkid and Ycee, who have pen a contract with the music label.
The singer shared a video clip via his Instagram page on the 22nd of November 2017 which showed him signing documents that put him on the Sony roster.
The deal singing was done at Upfront and Personal Promotion Company, a management and consultancy outfit owned by industry mogul, Paul Okoye, also known as PaulO.
Midway through the signing, he forgot his composure and for some moment abandons the business at hand to celebrate on camera that was recording the deal signing. In the background, his latest single, Diana played, providing an apt soundtrack to the proceedings.
Sony Music have been more aggressive on the continent in this year, signing up artistes to various deals and mopping up the brightest stars on the continent via the offering of value. Tekno’s deal according to the investigation is a function of hardwork, which has convinced the music company that there is more potential for greater things with him.
According to the label’s West Africa CEO, Michael Ugwu, the company has gone from a loss making start up to a break even business. “Now we are working towards the real growth that we are looking for. It’s only with this growth that we can reinvest back into the market he told Africa Business Review.
He also explained that the company is trying to build and export local talents like Wizkid to the rest of the world as opposed to already established international acts like Beyonce. “We wanna be in a situation where we’re actually taking the talent from Africa, actually trying to create a global contemporary Afropop Superstar. I think we’re at that age where we have that possibility,” he said.
The Sony deal no doubt will boost his rising profile as a star artiste on the continent, making him more accessible and bankable, whilst looking to hit new heights. Indeed the deal will add extra gloss to his career.
