  2. my dear, you are poorly informed, check again please. Have you asked yourself what are marine officers (marine engineer and marine navigator) paid?

    therr are 3 carder of marine officers ranging from class 3 to 1. just ask..

    i am a second class marine engineer (class 2) graduated from maritime academy of nigeria. working in an offshore serviceing ship. an average pay for 2nd class engineer / chief mate is 200 usd per day. in worst case is 65k naira per day. captains and chuef engr which us class 1 earns upto 400 us dolass per day or at keast an average of 90 to 100k per day.
