Who is the Richest Pastor in Nigeria?


Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Worldwide has been consistently named as the richest pastor in Nigeria by several international and local media. David Oyedepo was born on the 27th of September, 1954 to a Muslim father and a Christian mother. His father Ibrahim was an Islamic healer while Dorcas, his mother attended the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) order.

He was introduced to Christainity by his grandmother who was a christain. He grew up with her in Osogbo, Osun State and she was able to imbibe christain teachings into him at a very young age.

David Oyedepo studied architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic and also received a doctorate degree in Human Development from Honolulu State University, Hawaii, United States. He worked for a short period with the Federal Ministry of Housing, Ilorin before leaving to start his ministry.

David Oyedepo was ordained as a pastor on September 17th, 1983 and went ahead to start Living Faith Church in Kaduna state. Shortly after, he moved the church to Lagos and before long, the church had spread to other parts of Nigeria and the world.

Bishop David Oyedepo owns several investments including schools, media outlets andpublishing companies. He drives choice vehicles and owns about four private jets.

He is currently worth over $150 Million dollars.
