1 Olamide

2Q==(11)Olamide Adadeji popular known as Olamide was born in 1989. He is the CEO of YBNL. The baddo master hit the music industry in 2011. He is known for rapping with his native Language “Yoruba”. Olamide often referred to as king of the West have been consistent in his album release. Hep released his first music album titled ” Rapsodi” in 2011. In 2012, he released another album titled YBNL, the album featured Davido, Dammy Crane, Tiwa Savage and others. In 2013 Olamide was the first Nigerian artist to sign an endorsement deal with cirok he also released an album tiltled “Baddest guy ever liveth” in 2014 he launched a new album “street OT”. In 2015 Olamide released Eyan Mayweather and a collabo album with phyno ” 2Kings”.


Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson popularly known as phyno was born in 1986. The indigenous Igbo rapper started his musical career in 2003 but had a breakthrough in 2014 when he released his first album “no guts no glory”. The artist in one of his interviews revealed he wanted to become a pilot but his talent and love for music have landed him in the music industry.

The Enugu born rapper have featured popular Nigerian musicians like Stormrex,
Omawumi , Olamide , Efa, P-Square , Timaya ,Flavour N’abania , Mr. Raw, M.I , Ice Prince and Runtown.

In 2015,Phyno released a collabo album with Olamide titled ” 2kings”.
In 2016, Phyno has bombarded the music industry with a lot of singles. Some of his recent singles are Ezege and Fada Fada.

3. Ice Prince

Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice price was born in Minna, Niger state. in 1986. Ice prince is a hip hop artist as well as an actor. Ice prince hit the music industry after releasing his hit single “oleku”
In 2002, he got together with a couple of friends and formed a group called the “Ecomog Squad”. They had few performances as a group and split a year later. In 2004, he connected with M.I , Jesse Jagz, Ruby, Lindsey, Eve, Taz, and together they became what is now known today as the “Loopy Crew”.
8years ago ice prince was rumoured to have left Choc city but he however denied leaving. His manager also revealed that ice prince will never leave choc city even in death.
Ice prince popularly known for rapping with Hausa accent have on recent times released four albums; Everybody Loves Ice Prince (2011), Fire of Zamani (2013) EPs

4. M.I

Jude Abaga popularly known as M.I in 1981. He is hip hop recording artist, songwriter, and record producer. His father was a pastor. Jude has two brothers, Jesse Jagz who is also in the Nigerian and African music scene, and Jason Abaga. During Jude’s adolescence, he would listen to tracks from Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley , Sarah Maclachlan ,
Pablo Neruda , Jay-Z and DMX. He Began his music career in 2003 but gained popularity after releasing hit single ” safe”. He is also the president of choc city. MI have released 3albums and 3mixtapes since 2008 Talk About It (2008)

5. Reminisce

Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru popularly known as Reminisce was born in 1981. He hit the music industry in 2008. According to Reminisce in one of his interviews, he revealed that his music career started far back as in secondary school where he performed in various secondary school activities.

Reminisce have been very active since 2012 when He released his first album ” Book of Rap” in 2012. In 2013 he released album “Alaga Ibile”. 2015 he released his third album “Baba Hafusa”.

Reminisce have featured popular Nigerian musicians like Olamide in Government, Davido in daddy, wizkid in eleniyan and host of others.
