After the conclusion of all gubernatorial elections, including those that occurred in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the People’s Democratic Party controls 13 states, while the All Progressive Congress controls 22 states. The All Progressive Grand Alliance, on the other hand, controls 1 state. This information is further elaborated below.

  • Abia State: Name of the current governor is Okezie Ikpeazu. He won election into office under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party and he was elected in 2015.
