Land thuggery again in Lagos: One killed

Lagos Omo Oniles (land owners’ descendants) killed a 30 year-old man, Samuel, at Aimasiko Street, Ekoro Road, Abule Egba, Lagos, amidst the confusion that followed the Omo Onile’s futile attempt to collect their share of proceeds of the sale of a property in the area.

Trouble began when the Omo Oniles arrived the area to find out that the agent for the property deal had left. In their opinion, the agent left intentionally to sideline them.

Samuel’s offence was that he went near the Omo Oniles while they were protesting against the property agent’s action.

The Lagos State Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joe Offor, said he had not received details of the incident.

Is it possible to avoid trouble from the Lagos Omo Oniles?
