Lagos inland Revenue Services is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and productive government agencies in Lagos state of today. If the truth must be told, this organization has formed the backbone of the Lagos state finances. They are generating billions of naira of the Lagos state government every month and they are doing a real good job of it.

The Lagos State Inland Revenue Service is responsible for collecting taxes and dues on behalf of the Lagos state government. They remit such taxes to the Lagos state coffer for running government activities, both at the local and state government levels.

The new chairman of Lagos State Inland Revenue Service is none other than Folarin-Olukayode  Ogunsanwo. He was appointed by the present governor of the state, Akinwumi Ambode and his appointment was approved by the Lagos Sate House of Assembly.  Ogunsanwo is a tax administrator and he has 24 years of service experience in Lagos state.

Ogunsanwo is a 48 year old man and he is an indigene of Ibonwon in Epe Local Government.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and he graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Osun State of Nigeria.

Prior to his appointment, Ogunsanwo was a Regional Manager and Coordinator in Lagos State Inland Revenue Service.  Since he assumed office, he had been able to improve on the way the Lagos State Inland Revenue Service operates and has increased amount generated.
