5 Most Dangerous Cities in Nigeria

In recent times Nigeria have witnessed series of social unrest in dome parts of the country especially in the North Eastern part of Nigeria with Boko Haram menace thriving in the area. Boko haram menace started in 2010 and have affected socio economic activities in the North East.
Below are the top five most dangerous places in Nigeria, since there are many places on the world which are dangerous where people commit crimes as robberies and even murders, countries as USA have a big ranking of people committing acts like this, with young people shooting at schools or murders who are never solved, such as the Mysterious Murder of Father Alfred Kunz which is one of the most difficult cases there is.

5. Adamawa stateAdamawa state is located in the North Eastern part of Nigeria with Yola as its capital. The menace of boko haram in Adamawa state have made the state one of the most dangerous places in Nigeria. Boko haram in recent years have attacked villages, markets and churches in Adamawa state. Boko haram have killed over 5000 Nigerians and have destroyed properties worth millions in Adamawa state.

Yobe state is located in the North Eastern part of Nigeria with its capital as Damaturu. With thousands of people brutally murdered and series of bomb explosions in Yobe state communities and market, Yobe state can be categorised as one of the most dangerous places in Nigeria. Bauchi state is also one of the major targets of boko haram since 2010. With several successful attack against Bauchi State Citizens the former president Goodluck Jonathan placed a curfew on the state so as to tackle the menace of boko haram in the states. However boko haram have killed thousands of people in Bauchi.

Kano state have had one of the highest casualties of boko haram attack in Nigeria. Boko haram have killed thousands of Nigerians and destroyed properties worth millions in Kano. In 2012 boko haram attacked Kano state as a revenge for Boko haram members killed by the Nigerian Army in the fight against terrorism killing over 150 civilians. Boko haram attack have been on a wide range ranging from communities, Markets, churches and even mosques.

1. Borno State
Borno state is number one on the list with series of successful attacks, killings and abductions on Borno communities. Borno state have had the highest casualties to boko haram menace. In 2014, 219 students were abducted from Chibok secondary school Chibok Borno state and are yet to be found. In bid defeat boko haram the Nigerian government have moved the defence headquarters to Borno state.
